Case Study: Hobby Store Inventory Sale

This sale started with $125,000 cost inventory. The opening day of our pre-showing sales ran well over $60,000. The owner purchased another $10,000 in inventory. A lot more should have been purchased as reported sales ran over $162,000 in three weeks. Fixtures sold for another $5,000. Media advertising expenses were held to $4,900. This was supposed to be a 5 week sale but we were able to sell it out in three weeks because this was a high volume store with a good clean saleable inventory and an exceptionally good list of customers.
